90-POINTS, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: "Spicy black raspberry and floral pastille aromas are complemented by a deeper licorice nuance. 2010 PN bottle

2010 Pinot Noir, sold out

The small-production 2010 Joleté is primarily made from Dijon clones 115, 777, and a Musigny selection, with other traditional clones contributing to the final blend. Sourced mainly from the Chehalem Mountains AVA, a touch of Dundee Hills AVA and Yamhill-Carlton AVA fruit rounds out this Old-World-syled Pinot Noir.

TASTING NOTES: The cool weather of the 2010 vintage resulted in low yields and beautifully Burgundian Pinot Noir in Oregon. Joleté greets you with a luscious ruby-garnet hue and a subtle nose of ripe strawberries mingled with a touch of tobacco leaf. The palate opens with strawberry, raspberry, and focused tart cherry leading to a finish that shows refined hints of baking cocoa, cinnamon, and rose petal. This Joleté offering is a welcoming representation of an Old-World style vintage combined with a soft New- World texture.

Deux Annees bottle

"Deux Années" Pinot Noir, sold out

This cuvée is crafted from two excellent Oregon vintages: the 2009 vintage features creamy texture and rich, ripe fruit flavors, while the 2010 vintage harmoniously adds structure, nuance and complexity. The result is a lovely, versatile and layered Pinot Noir.

TASTING NOTES: The "Two Years" within Joleté Deux Années were drastically different, yet stunningly harmonious vintages in the Willamette Valley. This classic Pinot welcomes you with a warm, full nose of ripe bing cherries and cardamom spice while its elegant palate offers pronounced notes of loganberry and red plum. Hints of acai and a touch of vanilla accompany the soft tannins of the French oak finish. This is a classic Burgundian-styled Pinot, created by the marriage of two very distinct and complimentary Oregon vintages.

TASTING NOTES: Many consider 2008 to be among the finest years of the Willamette Valley and the 2008 Joleté is an excellent example of this dense and distinct vintage. Its deep, rich garnet color is accompanied by a nose of black cherry and ripened raspberry, followed by hints of dried bay leaf and rose petal.
